I’m Christina Kerr—educator, creative, mother of three, and the heart behind Verses & Vibes Bookstore. This dream was born from my deep love for Black stories, soulful spaces, and building community where creativity, culture, and connection can thrive.

With over 20 years in education and a lifelong devotion to storytelling, I’ve always believed in the power of words to heal, challenge, and inspire. Verses & Vibes is more than a bookstore—it's a sanctuary where books, beats, and Black excellence collide.

Every T-shirt, every book list, every Spark Session we offer carries a piece of that vision. A vision rooted in joy, authenticity, and freedom—because I believe we all deserve spaces that affirm who we are and help us grow into who we’re becoming.

My Mission

To create a space where stories matter, voices rise, and purpose is reignited. Whether through the pages of a novel, the rhythm of a playlist, or a one-on-one Spark Session—I’m here to help people dream out loud and live their truths.
